Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf with Maple Glaze
A healthier take on classic meatloaf, made with lean ground turkey and protein-rich quinoa, finished with a slightly sweet maple glaze. This moist and flavorful loaf is a family favorite.

Ingredients
Step 1 — For the Meatloaf
- 1.5 lbs lean ground turkey
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat)
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Step 2 — For the Maple Glaze
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Preheat Oven and Prep Pan
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, maple syrup, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze. Set aside.

Mix Meatloaf Ingredients
In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, cooked quinoa, chopped onion, celery, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, minced garlic, 2 tbsp ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overmix.

Form and Glaze Loaf
Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape it evenly, or form into a loaf shape on the prepared baking sheet. Spread about half of the maple glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Bake
Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, spread the remaining glaze over the top, and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the glaze is bubbly.

Rest and Serve
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
