Classic Beef Nachos
Crispy tortilla chips loaded with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, jalapeños, and all the classic toppings. The game-day nacho everyone reaches for first.

Step 1 — Cook the beef
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup water
Step 2 — Assemble and bake
- 12 oz sturdy tortilla chips
- 3 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans (drained and rinsed)
- ½ cup pickled jalapeño slices
Step 3 — Toppings
- 1 cup pico de gallo or diced tomatoes
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup sliced green onions
- Fresh cilantro
- Guacamole (optional)
- Lime wedges

Brown the beef
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and cooked through, 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and water. Simmer 2 minutes until saucy.

Layer and melt
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread chips on a large rimmed baking sheet in a single layer. Top with half the cheese, then beef and beans. Add remaining cheese and jalapeños. Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbling.

Finish and serve
Top with pico de gallo, sour cream, green onions, and cilantro. Serve immediately with guacamole and lime wedges on the side.
