Garlic Butter Steamed Crab
Whole crab steamed until sweet and tender, then drenched in sizzling garlic butter. Simple, decadent, and impossible to eat elegantly.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Steam
- 2 lbs crab legs or whole crab (cleaned)
- 1 cup water or beer
- 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
Step 2 — Garlic butter
- ½ cup butter (melted)
- 6 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- Pinch of cayenne

Steam the crab
Steam crab over boiling water (or beer) with Old Bay 12–15 minutes until heated through and shells are bright red.

Make garlic butter
Melt butter with garlic over low heat 2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, and cayenne.

Serve
Pile crab on a platter and pour garlic butter over the top. Serve with lemon wedges and crusty bread for dipping.
