Step 1Prep the pork

  • 2 lbs pork belly (cut into 1.5-inch cubes)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp rock sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 3 green onions (cut into 2-inch pieces)
  • 2 star anise

Step 2Braise

  • ¼ cup Shaoxing wine
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)

Step 3Serve
