Step 1Cook the Argentinian red shrimp

  • 1 lb Trader Joe's Wild Caught Raw Argentinian Red Shrimp (thawed, peeled, deveined)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ½ tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper

Step 2Cook the pasta

  • 12 oz cavatappi or elbow macaroni
  • Salted water (for boiling)

Step 3Make the cheese sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1½ cups sharp cheddar (shredded)
  • ½ cup Gruyère cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Step 4Top and bake

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives (chopped)
  • Lemon wedges
