Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos with Avocado Crema
Crispy, golden taquitos filled with seasoned shredded chicken, perfect for a fun and easy weeknight dinner or appetizer, served with a cool avocado crema.

Ingredients
Step 1 — For the Taquito Filling
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8-10 small corn tortillas
Step 2 — For the Avocado Crema
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tbsp water (to thin)
Step 3 — For Cooking
- 2 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray

Prepare Filling
In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, salsa, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Warm Tortillas
Warm the corn tortillas slightly (microwave for 30 seconds or briefly in a dry skillet) to make them pliable. Brush one side of each tortilla lightly with olive oil.

Assemble Taquitos
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken filling onto the oiled side of each tortilla, near one edge. Roll up tightly to form a taquito. Secure with a toothpick if needed (remove before serving).

Air Fry Taquitos
Place the taquitos seam-side down in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary. Lightly spray or brush the tops with olive oil. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Make Avocado Crema
While taquitos cook, combine avocado, yogurt/sour cream, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and 2 tbsp water in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, adding more water 1 tsp at a time if needed to reach a drizzly consistency.

Serve the crispy taquitos immediately with the avocado crema for dipping.
