Butter Naan
Garlic-butter brushed naan with a soft interior and blistered, charred exterior. The essential side for any curry night — better than restaurant naan.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Dough
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp oil
Step 2 — Garlic butter
- 4 tbsp butter (melted)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
- Pinch of salt
Step 3 — Serve
- Any curry
- Extra butter for brushing

Make the dough
Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar. Combine flour, salt, yogurt, melted butter, oil, and yeast mixture. Knead 8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Rise 1 hour until doubled.

Cook and brush
Divide into 8 balls and roll into teardrop shapes. Cook on a very hot skillet 1–2 minutes per side until puffed with charred spots. Mix garlic, cilantro, and salt into melted butter. Brush generously over hot naan.

Stack under a towel and serve warm alongside your favorite curry.
