Ingredients

- 4 store-bought or homemade meringue nests (crushed)
- 2 cups heavy cream (whipped)
- 2 lbs fresh strawberries (hulled, sliced)
- 2 tbsp icing sugar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)

Prep strawberries
Toss strawberries with icing sugar and balsamic if using. Let macerate 10 minutes.

Assemble mess
Gently fold crushed meringue, whipped cream, and strawberries together. Do not overmix — chunks of meringue should remain.

Serve immediately in glasses or bowls before meringue goes completely soft.
