  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Step 2Add pork and patola

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 medium patola (sponge gourd, peeled and sliced into half-moons; or 1 medium zucchini)
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce (more to taste)

Step 3Finish with misua noodles

  • 2 bundles misua noodles (about 4 oz)
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • Steamed white rice (to serve)
