Step 1 — For the Bake
- 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or hot), cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 bell peppers (any color), seeded and chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste

- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooked pasta or rice, for serving

Prepare Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the sausage pieces, chopped bell peppers, and chopped onion. Drizzle with olive oil and season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Air Fry
Pour the mixture into an air fryer-safe skillet or baking dish that fits inside your air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sausage is cooked through and browned, and the vegetables are tender.

Add Cheese (Optional)
If using, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Carefully remove the skillet from the air fryer. Serve the sausage and pepper mixture hot, on its own or over cooked pasta or rice.
