Banana Bread
Moist, tender banana bread with deep banana flavor and a golden crust. The best use for overripe bananas on the counter — better the next day, if it lasts that long.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Wet ingredients
- 3 very ripe bananas (mashed)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Step 2 — Dry ingredients
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
Step 3 — Optional add-ins
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- ½ cup chocolate chips

Mix the batter
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan. Whisk mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Bake
Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Stir in nuts or chocolate chips if using. Pour into pan. Bake 55–65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in the pan 15 minutes, then turn out onto a rack. Slice once fully cooled — flavor deepens overnight.
