Fudge Brownies
Dense, fudgy brownies with a crackly top and intense chocolate flavor. One bowl, one pan, and dangerously hard to stop at just one square.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Chocolate base
- 8 oz bittersweet chocolate (chopped)
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Step 2 — Dry ingredients
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Step 3 — Optional add-ins
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt (for topping)

Melt and mix
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9 pan with parchment. Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth. Whisk in sugar, then eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

Bake
Fold in flour, cocoa, and salt until just combined. Stir in nuts or extra chips if using. Pour into pan and smooth the top. Bake 28–32 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.

Cool and cut
Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired. Store airtight up to 4 days.
