Ingredients
Step 1 — For the Casserole Filling
- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
- 4 cups broccoli florets, lightly steamed
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Step 2 — For the Topping
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare Casserole Filling
In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, lightly steamed broccoli florets, condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently until everything is well combined.

Assemble Casserole
Pour the chicken and broccoli mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Make and Add Topping
In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, melted butter, and cheddar cheese (if using). Stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the casserole.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown and crispy. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
