Step 1 — For the Salmon and Asparagus
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced (for baking)

Preheat and Prep
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears on one side of the baking sheet.

Prepare Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the other side of the baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

Make Lemon Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Spoon half of this mixture evenly over the asparagus.

Season Salmon
Spoon the remaining lemon garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets. Top each fillet with a thin slice of lemon.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender-crisp. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the salmon.
