Sweet Chili Sauce
Homemade Thai sweet chili sauce — sticky, tangy, and mildly spicy. Perfect for spring rolls, dumplings, and air-fryer appetizers.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Simmer the sauce
- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 Thai bird chiles (sliced)
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Simmer
Combine vinegar, sugar, water, garlic, chiles, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer 5 minutes.

Thicken
Stir cornstarch slurry into the sauce. Cook 1–2 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened. Cool completely — it will thicken more as it cools.

Transfer to a jar and refrigerate. Serve with spring rolls, dumplings, chicken wings, or fried tofu.
