Ingredients
Step 1 — Quick chili
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans (drained)
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Step 2 — Fries and toppings
- 1½ lbs frozen french fries (baked per package)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- ¼ cup sliced green onions
- Sour cream
- Pickled jalapeños

Make the chili
Brown beef with onion and garlic. Drain fat. Stir in beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, and salt. Simmer 10 minutes until thick.

Load the fries
Bake fries until crispy. Pile on a platter, top with hot chili and cheddar. Broil 1–2 minutes until cheese melts. Finish with green onions, sour cream, and jalapeños.
