Sausages baked in a towering Yorkshire pudding batter until puffed and golden. A whimsical name for one of Britain's most satisfying suppers.

Ingredients
Step 1 — Batter and sausages
- 8 pork sausages
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 eggs
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil or beef drippings

- Onion gravy
- Mashed potatoes
- Peas

Make batter
Whisk flour, milk, eggs, and salt until smooth. Rest 30 minutes.

Bake
Preheat oven to 425°F. Brown sausages in an ovenproof skillet. Pour hot oil into a 9x13 baking dish, heat 5 minutes. Add sausages, pour batter around them. Bake 30–35 minutes until puffed and golden.

Serve immediately with onion gravy, mash, and peas.
