Ingredients
Step 1 — For the Salmon
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Step 2 — For the Asparagus
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1
Preheat and Prep
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Make Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, 1 tbsp olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
- 3
Prepare Asparagus
Toss the trimmed asparagus with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper directly on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Spread into a single layer.
- 4
Add Salmon and Glaze
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Place them on the other side of the baking sheet, next to the asparagus. Brush the tops of the salmon fillets generously with the honey garlic glaze.
- 5
Bake
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender-crisp. For extra glaze, you can brush on a second layer in the last few minutes of baking.
