- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste

Brown Beef and Sauté Aromatics
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off excess fat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.

Stir in the rinsed black beans, undrained diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
